Why Marketing Is a Martial Art (with Stephen Oliver)
Stephen Oliver worked his way through Georgetown University by teaching karate, all the while expecting to go on to earn an MBA at Harvard or Wharton and then move on to Wall Street.
Instead, he graduated and moved to Denver where he opened six martial arts schools within 30 months, growing them to 3,500 students and developing a multi-million dollar business. He ended up promoting one of the top tournaments in the world and grew into coaching martial arts schools internationally. He is now also a financial advisor on marketing, sales, management, and teaching.
He’s written eight books on marketing, management, and personal growth, aimed at martial arts school operators or financial advisors. He’s been a speaker at organizations ranging from elementary schools to international industry events and has shared the stage at his own events and those of others with Lee Milteer, Dan Kennedy, Brian Tracy, professional athletes, Chuck Norris, Jay Abraham, Wayne Dyer, and Tony Robbins.
He’s an MBA and 9th-degree black belt.
