  • Step Two: A 15-minute get-to-know-you session on Zoom where we'll discuss what to cover on the episode. During this session, we'll compare calendars and schedule...
  • Step Three: We record the session. We set aside 1 hour. The "live" part is usually 30-40 minutes.

Our Audience

Our audience is primarily coaches, consultants, and business leaders who wish to spend more time serving their clients and less time navigating the marketing maze. Our promise: We help you captivate prospects and inspire them to buy -- with less pitching and prodding -- by harnessing the power of storytelling. We also help our audience become confident story-sellers by focusing on the inner game -- how to exercise and strengthen mindset.

Topics We Cover

  • Storytelling (of course). How to discover, develop, and deliver powerful, client-attracting stories.
  • Marketing and sales. Strategies and tactics to attract leads, engage prospects, and win the sale -- without pitching and prodding. We're particularly interested in how to build human connections with prospects and clients so we can establish mutually beneficial business relationships with them. We also like to dive into specific tactics involving different media -- email, social, video, etc. We welcome those with niche expertise in these areas.
  • Leadership and Delegation. How to work with and lead others to help you get the job done. We welcome experts who have expertise in these areas -- even if they're not focused on marketing.
  • Creativity. How do we harness our innate creativity? How do we bring creativity to our work?
  • Mindset. How to rewrite the stories we tell ourselves to become more confident and productive -- in storytelling, marketing in general, leading others, and closing sales.

Tone

We don't take ourselves too seriously. We try to have fun. We share stories. We laugh.

We also want to deliver valuable, actionable advice -- without lecturing our listeners. We're here to help our listeners.

Our episodes are not sales presentations. That said, we are happy to tell listeners about resources or offers you wish to share. Please describe in the survey anything you wish to share.

Podcast Procedure and Format

After we receive and approve your application, we'll send you a link to our booking calendar -- to schedule a 60-minute Zoom session.

We'll send an email to confirm the scheduled time, plus one or two reminders in advance.

Please arrive in the Zoom room at the scheduled time -- with a good camera (and lighting) and microphone.

We record both audio and video.

When the session begins, we'll chat for 5-10 minutes to go over the episode plan. Then we'll begin to record the show.

I always begin the episode with a short introduction and story that sets the stage for my guest and the topics we'll discuss.

The discussion runs for 30-45 minutes -- with a few minutes for follow-up conversation. So we book one hour for the session.

Don't worry about messing up. We have a great production team, and we fix any problems.

Please make sure your cell phone, computer notifications, reminders, pagers, etc. are turned off so they don’t interrupt us.

After the Recording

We are currently publishing episodes five to six weeks after we record.

We release the episode through multiple channels including -- Apple, Google, Spotify, TuneIn, iHeart, Amazon, and many others. We also publish full episode audio and video, plus at least one video excerpt on this site.
